A visual archive of change, connection, and creativity
In May 2024, we partnered with youth climate activists to document a coordinated march across Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu. The challenge: capture not just protest, but the individuals, conversations, and moments of solidarity that made it matter.
Approach: We deployed 5 photographers across locations, using both candid and posed coverage. We interviewed 12 participants to gather quotes and stories. Over 2 weeks, we edited 1,200 photos down to a curated essay of 80 images.
Impact: The photo essay was featured on 8 NGO websites, reached 50K+ people on social media, and contributed to a UN report on youth climate action. The activists gained professional imagery for their advocacy work.
